Getting a Grant is NOT about a “get rich quick” scheme.
There is nothing magic about getting a grant. If someone tells you
that they can get you a grant guaranteed from a certain source if
you pay them enough money---RUN! The real world just doesn’t
work that way!

There is NO GUARANTEE in getting a particular
grant idea, program or project funded. A lot has to do with reading,
timing, researching, writing, re-reading, re-writing, and
PATIENCE!

There is a LOT of grant money available…But you need to be able
to match up your idea or project or program with a funder match.
Every agency and foundation is NOT interested in your project. It
doesn’t matter who you are or how much you pay a “great grant
writer!” If your ideal project doesn’t match up with the funder’s
goals, vision, or current interests, you are just NOT going to get a
grant from them. It doesn’t mean you won’t eventually get a grant
from some other source…you just have to keep applying to the
right sources.
